Why the Franklin System Works
Some years ago I discovered that achieving real success in life requires each of us to become a whole person, not just skilled at performing specific functions.

If you view selling as a road to success, you will be right, but only if you see it as a part of the overall process of human communication, and realize that you must learn to know yourself and learn to bring out the best of yourself in order to be an effective sales person.

Only by identifying our strengths and weaknesses, and then learning to capitalize on the first and to strengthen the second, do we find our way to self-fulfillment.

This conviction, based upon experience, led me and my associates at Franklin Institute of Sales to devise a program that helps people from any field—with or without a college education—accomplish that goal. The key ingredient that sets our program apart from others is thoroughness, or comprehensiveness.

Four Areas of Development
There are four important areas in which all people need help in striving for excellence and success, regardless of their job. Franklin's three-part program covers them all:

•  The development of mental fitness
•  The skills of persuasion
•  Self-organization
•  Development of a healthy body

Our brain and body are our only assets. If they are to perform at their best, they must be nurtured.

Developing The Mind
Franklin aids the individual in maximizing his or her mental abilities by:
Providing knowledge in the use of psycho-cybernetics, the science of selective feedback control and response
Improving your personality by learning and applying the Essential Qualities of a successful sales person.
Developing and maintaining the right positive mental attitudes
Developing emotional control to make your feelings and sentiments work for you, instead against you. Emotions are your most powerful force.

All About Persuasion
Your skills of persuasion will be advance and amplified in several ways, including personality improvement by learning to apply the qualities of character and disposition that go with success. Selling skills will become automatic...the appropriate words, the right moves. You will learn to be calm and confident, to be sensitive to the real needs of a customer (or boss).

You will learn to automatically apply the steps of a successful sale—prospecting, approaching a prospect, acquiring information tactfully, presenting effectively, overcoming objections and closing.

Time Management & Self Organization
Each student learns about time management plus short and long term goal setting—and planning for work, career development, and all life's other areas.

Getting Fit
Finally, physical fitness and weight control are recognized as an essential part of being effective. Franklin offers a specific daily regimen—that is amazingly brief and easy to follow—that can make a real contribution toward optimizing your fitness.
